“Winter stays on long up here in the high.” is a quote from one of Shadow’s favorite movies, Jeremiah Johnson. Winter has stayed on long at Eddy’s Motel in Butte, Montana and even today we had some flurries. I was able to plant some perennials last week, and the pansies have survived the winter winds and chill this late May. We are awaiting the beautiful lilac blooms and hoping for a colorful summer at Eddy’s Motel. We will be adding some benches for outdoor seating so you may enjoy the sunsets, gaze up at Our Lady of the Rockies or look at the lights of Uptown Butte. We are enjoying our flow of nightly travellers, as well as those who opt to stay with us for a few days. Our summer festivals including the Montana Folk Festival, Evil Knievel Days and An Ri Ra (the Irish festival) are fast approaching and we look forward to sharing these festivities with you. Whether you’re an annual attendee, or a first time visitor, Eddy’s Motel welcomes you.

Eddy’s Motel is at the “bottom of Uptown Butte”, conveniently located right off the highway, close to a grocery store, restaurant, visitor’s center, walking trail and casino. Eddy’s has the feeling of the antiquity that is found throughout Butte. Built in the 1930’s we have a comfy and quaint feeling for you to enjoy a stay for a night, a weekend or several days.

We welcome fisherman, hunters, motorcyclists, vacationers, and business folks. We offer weekly and monthly discounted rates from Sept-June for folks who might be working in the area, looking to move here or having an extended vacation. We enjoy the cultural diversity found in travelers from all over the country.

Our lobby is available for morning, or anytime coffee and conversation.

We are a dog friendly motel (please request a dog room). We have some nice grassy areas to walk your pooch around and also the walking trail is nearby if you want a more scenic walk!

Eddy’s is constantly a work in progress.  We are an older motel and do the best we can to keep up with current needs of our travelers, while trying to keep the older and friendly feel of the motel.  We aim to make your stay comfortable and always appreciate input from our customers.
